I have heard it said that life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you respond.
The Lord already told us in John 16 that in this world we would have trouble but then in the same statement he says be of good cheer...because he has overcome the world.

Trouble will come but Jesus fought and won already. We are not in it alone and it doesn't end here.
You may ask how in the world can I be cheerful in sickness, or when a loved one dies or when there is job loss or with relationship troubles? You are asking a lot Jesus, you might say to yourself.

Well... He is but only because he is the one that already won our battle. It is handled and being handled. He has got it all taken care of. He knows the beginning from the end.

We can't do it without his strength and that strength comes from us choosing joy. Nehemiah 8:10 tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. It is his joy filling us if we choose to let him, that gives us the strength to keep going.

The choice may he a hard one for you and once made, life may not get easier but getting through life certainly does!

I dare you to choose joy and see how your life experience and perspective changes.
Jesus is right. But you already knew that!
